Legendary Guitarist Eric Clapton Reveals He’s Going Deaf, New Documentary


Guitarist Eric Clapton recently revealed he is going deaf. The musician delivered the news in a new interview with “Steve Wright in the Afternoon” on BBC’s Radio 2.

“I mean, I’m going deaf, I’ve got Tinnitus, my hands just about work,” said the blues guitarist. The 72 year old Clapton also stated that he will continue to perform music.

“I’m still going to work, I’m doing a few gigs, I’m doing a show in Hyde Park in July. You know the only thing I’m concerned with now is being in my 70s and being able to be proficient.,” said Clapton. He continued, ““I mean, I’m hoping that people will come along and see me just because, well maybe more than, I’m a curiosity, you know what I mean. I know that is part of it, because it’s amazing to myself that I’m still here.”

Eric Clapton is the subject of a new documentary. He was a guest on the afternoon to promote “Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars.”

The documentary follows the life of Eric Clapton while being narrated by different musicians. They include Jimi Hendrix, BB King, and George Harrison.
