Music production is skilled man’s craft. A Detroit native, Filthy Rockwell is both skilled and crafty.
His love for his craft has landed him music placements with some of Hip-Hop’s elite artists. Rockwell is a marksman as a producer.
Groups such as The Time and artists such as Prince helped mold a young Filthy Rockwell. He recalls going through his mother’s music and growing to love the musicians.
Rockwell would later go on to work with artists such as Big Sean and Kanye West. This after meeting Big Sean through an artist he was working with.
The meeting happened by chance as Sean was a friend invited by the artist and the rest is history. Rockwell would go on to produce “Celebrity,” a track from Sean’s debut album “Finally Famous.”
Now Filthy Rockwell is preparing to release his latest project “Filthy America.” A portion of the proceeds from the projects release will be donated and used to help provide back to school supplies and backpacks for students is Detroit.
An album release party for “Filthy America” will also be held at the Detroit Institute of Music Education on August 31, 2018. The album will be released the same day as well. Follow Filthy Rockwell on Twitter: @filthy_rockwell
