“When They See Us” Wins Emmy Award For “Outstanding Casting For A Limited Series”

Recently a film, “When They See Us,” based upon the story of the “Exonerated 5” was released. The response to it has been phenomenal as the project shed light on the collective’s individual stories.

The film not only told the story of their arrest, but how the incident affected their lives. Tonight the film became an Emmy award winner.

This after picking up the award for “Outstanding Casting For A Limited Series.” Congratulations to the film’s cast/everyone involved in the project, but most importantly The Exonerated 5 for allowing their story to be told.
