Review by Richard Caldwell
The holiday season is in full swing with Christmas leading the way. Christmas is a magical holiday. One that lifts the spirits of children, adults and elders. The magic of the unknown is something that allows the soul to gravitate. Netflix recently tapped into the spirit of the holiday with their latest film release “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey”.
“Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” tells the tale of a magical toy maker. An inventor who loses his way after his inventions are stolen by an ungrateful apprentice. The magic of the inventor and his inventors are lost after this betrayal. However, he later begins to feel the magic once again with the help of his wonderful granddaughter. Forest Whitaker stars in this film as Jeronicus Jangle.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film. It’s stage-like vibe helps to bring out the spirit of the song and dance routines. The acting is wonderful with a great story to go along with it. This film is perfect for the holiday season. Especially for families looking for a new Christmas themed film to view at home. Netflix brings forth the spirit of the holidays perfectly in this film.
