Sanders Leads JSU To #18 FCS National Poll Ranking, Being Considered For TCU Head Coaching Job

Jackson State head football coach Deion Sanders is reportedly in the running for the open position at Texas Christian University. TCU recently parted ways with longtime head coach Gary Patterson.

TCU plays in the Big 12 Conference and will have other big names competing for the position. Sanders has ties to the DFW area after spending five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and serving as the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian High School.

Sanders was hired by Jackson State in September 2020. The tigers were 3-3 under Sanders in his first season. The team is currently ranked #18 in the FCS National polls after going 8-1 so far in 2021 with two games remaining in the regular season.
